Hoping This Is the Last Surgery of My Life: 1-Month Postoperative Review
본문

Before

My previous rhinoplasty involved the use of donated rib cartilage,
but over time, I noticed that it was gradually being absorbed.
Additionally, the nose began to bend significantly,
especially noticeable when viewed from below.
After seven years since the initial surgery,
I decided to undergo a revision rhinoplasty.
My main goals were to correct the deviated columella and crooked nose,
as well as to improve the shape of the nasal tip.
While searching through reviews on various platforms like Babitalk,
I noticed that many patients with noses similar to what I desired
had all undergone surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
Honestly, I initially wondered, “Where is RU?”
but since this was to be my final surgery,
I carefully read through their website and information thoroughly.
During the consultation, instead of the usual general questions,
Dr. Kim asked detailed questions specifically about my facial features—
those subtle points that only I seemed to worry about.
He understood these concerns deeply and provided very detailed advice.
Since this was a revision surgery using autologous rib cartilage,
the cost was admittedly on the higher side.
However, his confidence in the procedure made me feel that the price was justified,
so I proceeded with the reservation.
The consultation with Director Hee-seon also helped me solidify my decision.
I had thought that the revision would mainly improve my profile,
but lowering the columella in the frontal view
effectively eliminated the upturned nose appearance.
My friends who had seen my nose before the revision
now say it looks very different,
and some even said they want to have the surgery themselves.
Currently, my nasal tip is still a bit red and swollen,
but since it’s only been a month,
I am patiently waiting for further healing and improvement.
