Two-Month Postoperative Review of Fourth Revision Surgery for Contracted Nose in a Male Patient

It has already been two months since I underwent my fourth revision surgery for contracted nose at RU Plastic Surgery. I am extremely satisfied with the current shape of my nose and am having very fulfilling days. Gradually, I find myself unable to even recall how my nose looked before the surgery.
Over the course of three previous revision surgeries (a total of four surgeries including this one), I experienced numerous complications related to silicone implants, including a deviated nose, elevated nasal tip, and pinched nasal tip. These issues made it difficult to hold my face confidently and also caused functional problems such as nasal obstruction due to the crooked nasal bridge.
With these challenges, I made a firm decision to seek out specialized centers for contracted nose revision surgeries. After extensively researching numerous reviews and considering my options carefully, I resolved that my next revision should use only my own autologous tissues to minimize risks of complications and inflammation.
The three most important factors I considered were the surgeon’s expertise in contracted nose revision, extensive experience with autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty, and minimizing postoperative complications. Through my research, I came across RU Plastic Surgery’s reviews for contracted nose revision, which strongly resonated with me. After a detailed consultation and discussing the treatment plan, I was confident this was the right place for my fourth revision surgery.
Despite initial postoperative swelling, I was satisfied with the nasal shape as soon as the splint was removed. Now, as time progresses, the major swelling has subsided, and residual swelling is gradually resolving. The nasal shape continues to improve, and I am very pleased with the results. I truly consider myself fortunate to have undergone contracted nose revision surgery with Dr. Kim Hyun-joo.
