3-Month Follow-Up After Secondary Rhinoplasty
본문

After
My initial rhinoplasty involved only tip refinement without any implants. Since I have a slightly protruding mouth, I expected that tip surgery might somewhat improve the overall profile. However, right after the surgery, I was unsure if there had been any real improvement. Over time, my nasal tip became thinner and lower, and ultimately, I was dissatisfied with the final appearance.
I had always planned to undergo a revision surgery someday. When I recently had some time off, I researched clinics and came across RU Plastic Surgery. I was impressed by the natural nasal lines shown in their reviews, the fact that it’s a single-surgeon clinic, and their specialization in autologous rib cartilage procedures, which gave me confidence.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim Hyun-joo clearly understood and explained exactly what I wanted, so I booked my revision surgery using autologous rib cartilage right away. I was most worried about pain and discomfort from harvesting the rib cartilage since it was my first time having this procedure. Surprisingly, my condition was much better compared to when I previously had septal cartilage used. I experienced significant pain when bending forward or straining, but after about three days, the discomfort reduced to mild muscle soreness.
Now, at three months post-op, my nasal tip is maintaining the rounded, natural shape I desired, rather than being pointed. Thanks to the correction of the nasolabial angle, my mouth’s protrusion has visibly improved. Initially, I thought it might just be my imagination, but over time, I’ve definitely noticed my overall facial expression has softened significantly. The tip height has increased, making me realize how much a nose can influence one’s overall look.
Dr. Kim Hyun-joo meticulously checks my progress at every follow-up and always asks if I have any questions, which truly builds trust. If I had to choose again, I would definitely undergo my revision surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
