3-Week Review After Primary Rhinoplasty with Nasolabial Angle Correction and Functional Surgery at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

I decided to undergo rhinoplasty because the tip of my nose had a slightly droopy, rounded appearance, which made facial contours look flat and often required photo editing. A CT scan also revealed that functional improvements were needed, so I chose to proceed with functional rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery.
I had always wanted a refined, straight nasal bridge, so the surgery was performed using autologous rib cartilage and a silicone implant. Around the 2–3 week mark post-surgery, most of the bruising had resolved, and the swelling had significantly reduced.
In the early recovery phase, the nasal tip appeared slightly over-rotated, and due to the nasolabial angle correction, my philtrum initially looked somewhat elongated. However, once the internal silicone support was removed from inside the nose, the philtrum returned to its natural length, and the profile became much more balanced.
Now, the nasal line is becoming exactly as I envisioned—natural and sophisticated. Even in photos and videos, I’m much more satisfied with my appearance. As more swelling subsides, I anticipate the results will become even more refined. I look forward to seeing the final outcome every day when I look in the mirror. Thank you so much, Dr. Kim Hyun-joo.
