One-Month Postoperative Review: Male Rhinoplasty and Three-Part Facial Contouring Surgery

Due to my naturally low nasal bridge, I had previously received nose fillers, but they quickly absorbed and spread out, leaving me unsatisfied with the results. This led me to decide on autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty. Additionally, I had concerns about severe facial asymmetry and perceived facial length, so I chose to undergo facial contouring surgery simultaneously.
While researching well-known clinics for revision rhinoplasty in online communities, I discovered RU Plastic Surgery and Dr. Kim Hyun-joo. After making an appointment, I visited the clinic. During the consultation, Dr. Kim provided a thorough explanation and recommended a balanced approach without excessive alteration, which increased my trust.
A CT scan during the nose consultation revealed significant deviation of the septum and enlarged inferior turbinates. Accordingly, I underwent two types of sinus surgeries for rhinitis, correction of the retracted columella, and augmentation of the low nasal bridge using a combination of silicone implant and autologous rib cartilage.
For the facial contouring surgery, Dr. Kim noted asymmetry along with a slightly long chin and weak chin projection. Therefore, I received mandibular angle reduction, chin advancement, and zygoma (cheekbone) reduction surgeries.
Postoperative pain was minimal. Although my face was significantly swollen due to undergoing two surgeries at once, the swelling has gradually subsided, bringing me reassurance. After surgery, whenever I had concerns or questions, the clinic responded promptly, allowing me to feel at ease throughout the recovery process.
Before surgery, my nasal bridge was almost nonexistent. Now, it has formed naturally and proportionately as I wished, and I am very satisfied with the result. Moreover, the clinic staff were especially kind and attentive, which made every visit comfortable and stress-free.
