One Month After Bulbous Tip Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage

Before / 1m post-op
I had been considering rhinoplasty for quite some time after becoming increasingly concerned about the bulbous appearance of my nose.
It was something that affected my confidence enough that I felt uncomfortable going about my daily life without using makeup to contour and define my nose.
While researching rhinoplasty, I came across before-and-after surgery videos on YouTube through the recommendation algorithm.
After gathering more information, I decided to visit RU Plastic Surgery for a consultation and ultimately proceeded with the surgery.
It has now been a little over one month since the procedure. I was already pleased with the appearance of my nose immediately after surgery,
and as the swelling has continued to subside, I have become even more satisfied with the result.
One of the changes I particularly like is the shape and orientation of my nostrils,
which now appear more appropriately defined and balanced.
I can also clearly see that the alar area has become noticeably slimmer, which has helped improve the overall appearance of my nose.
During my postoperative follow-up,
Dr. Hyunju Kim explained that the degree of swelling and scar tissue formation was within a normal and favorable range for this stage of recovery.
Some of the absorbable sutures had not yet dissolved, so they were simply removed during the follow-up visit.
Overall, I am very pleased with how my nose is continuing to improve as the swelling gradually resolves,
and I am looking forward to seeing the final result as the healing process progresses.
