Two Months After My Eighth Revision Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage

After
I recently underwent my eighth revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery, using autologous rib cartilage. It has now been two months since the procedure, and I can feel that the residual swelling continues to improve steadily. Although the nose still feels firm to the touch, Dr. Kim has explained that this is part of the normal healing process and will gradually soften over time.
Before this surgery, my nostrils were asymmetrical and appeared overly exposed—especially noticeable when viewed from below—giving the nose an artificial and pointed look that I found unsettling. Thankfully, the current result looks much more natural and balanced in both shape and proportion.
Due to the number of prior surgeries I had undergone, there was some visible scar tissue under the skin. Dr. Kim has recommended laser treatment around the three-month mark to improve the appearance of these areas. I deeply appreciate how comprehensive the aftercare has been—ranging from scar ointments and taping to swelling-reduction injections and scheduled laser sessions.
What sets RU Plastic Surgery apart is not just the surgical expertise, but the ongoing postoperative care. I didn’t feel the need to look elsewhere because I trust the process here. Dr. Kim and her team continue to support me until I’m fully satisfied with the results, and that level of commitment has been incredibly reassuring.
