Hello! I underwent revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery in early July.
I was introduced to RU by my sister, who is highly knowledgeable about plastic surgery.
She told me that RU is one of the few clinics truly reliable for complex revision procedures.
This was actually my third nose surgery, with my last operation having been over 10 years ago.
Over time, the shape had changed significantly,
and more importantly, I had difficulty breathing through one nostril.
I had once heard someone say that rhinoplasty needs to be redone every 10 years,
and I really felt that this time.
For this revision, I underwent surgery using autologous rib cartilage,
with a silicone implant covered by Megaderm (a dermal matrix)
to reduce the risk of implant visibility and capsular contracture.
Additional procedures included columella lengthening,
correction of a retracted nose,
and adjustment of the nasolabial angle.
Given that it was my third surgery,
aesthetics were secondary to safety and minimizing complications.
Fortunately, the recovery process was far more comfortable than I had expected.
By the third week, the discomfort from the rib cartilage harvest site
had significantly decreased,
and now, at one month post-op, I have no pain at all.
Even the scars have faded considerably.
I've recommended RU to at least 10 people already this month.
My friends were surprised that I had no bruising,
and everyone has commented on how beautiful and natural the result looks.
One friend, who was considering her first rhinoplasty,
has already scheduled a consultation.
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery
has been incredibly meticulous and caring throughout the process.
His attention to even the smallest concerns made me feel truly at ease.
Honestly, I feel lucky.
Rather than planning another surgery 10 years down the line,
I’m determined to take good care of this nose and make it last a lifetime.
There’s still a bit of residual swelling,
which I expect to continue improving over the next two months—
but even now, I’m extremely satisfied with the result.
