Primary Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage — 1 Week Postoperative Review
본문

I had long been self-conscious about the droopiness of my nasal tip,
and because my eyes appeared slightly prominent compared to my low nasal bridge,
I was never satisfied with the overall balance of my face.
In search of a rhinoplasty-focused clinic,
I did extensive research and happened to discover RU Plastic Surgery
through YouTuber Akong’s rhinoplasty vlog
(even though the clinic wasn’t directly mentioned,
I recognized it by the design of the gown).
What especially impressed me was Dr. Hyun Joo Kim’s confident consultation,
where he explained that he approaches every first surgery as if it were the last,
so that patients won’t need revision surgery later.
That philosophy truly resonated with me
and ultimately led me to choose RU for my rhinoplasty.
I underwent surgery using autologous rib cartilage and a silicone implant.
Although I don’t remember every surgical detail,
I was thoroughly informed during the consultation,
which made me feel very reassured.
The surgery itself was over much faster than I expected,
and the staff—including the consultation manager and nurses—
helped ease my nerves beforehand,
allowing me to go into the procedure with peace of mind.
Since it was my very first rhinoplasty,
I had many concerns,
but by postoperative day 7,
much of the swelling had already subsided,
and I could begin to see the refined nasal line I had hoped for.
I’m genuinely satisfied with the outcome so far!
