Following that, I met with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim, whose expertise and detailed explanations further solidified my confidence. I decided to proceed with surgery on the same day.
The surgery involved autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty combined with functional nasal surgery to correct my nasal obstruction issues. The doctor advised against additional procedures such as alar reduction or other unnecessary interventions specific to my nose, which I am grateful for in hindsight.
The clinic atmosphere was very welcoming, and the coordinator provided excellent care during my recovery visits. Dr. Kim performed suture removal promptly and accurately, which made the process less uncomfortable.
Now, at one month post-op, the profile of my nose looks amazing, and the swelling in the frontal view continues to subside. I am very excited to see the final results.
The day of surgery and the initial recovery were challenging, especially as this was my first time undergoing anesthesia and surgery. However, enduring that discomfort has already been worth it after one month.
Additionally, my nasal obstruction caused by septal deviation and inferior turbinate hypertrophy has improved significantly, allowing me to breathe easily and feel much more refreshed.
