One Month After Revision Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage by Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery

After
I’m now one month post-op from my revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery, and I wanted to share an update on my experience.
Many years ago, I had a primary rhinoplasty using a straight silicone implant. Over time, I began to experience nasal deviation and an unusual cold sensation in my nose, which led me to consider revision surgery.
For this procedure, we used silicone along with Megaderm (donor dermis) to cover the nasal bridge. The nasal tip was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage, and the surgery also included short nose correction, columella lengthening, and nasolabial angle adjustment.
Now, one month after surgery, the deviation has been significantly corrected, and the cold sensation I previously felt in my nose has almost completely resolved. I’m very satisfied with the outcome so far and grateful for the improvement in both appearance and comfort.
