2 Months Postoperative: Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose Deformity at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

After undergoing a previous surgery at another clinic, I experienced several complications including a contracted nose, saddle nose,
and pinched tip — all of which gradually worsened. I began researching revision options,
actively searching through online communities and blogs. That’s when I came across RU Plastic Surgery through an algorithm,
and after watching Dr. Hyun Joo Kim’s YouTube videos and reading his blog, I decided to go in for a consultation.
My main goals were to restore the retracted and elevated nasal tip caused by the contracture
and to reconstruct the dorsum and tip using autologous rib cartilage and fascia.
Before setting a surgery date, I underwent multiple stem cell treatments to stabilize the tissue condition.
On the day of the operation, Dr. Kim thoroughly reviewed everything again before proceeding.
Postoperatively, he visited the recovery room multiple times to explain what had been done during surgery,
which gave me a great sense of reassurance.
What impressed me most was the responsibility and consistency — unlike some clinics where the surgeon disappears after surgery,
both Dr. Kim and the staff remained attentive throughout the recovery process.
Now at the two-month mark, while it's still too early to say this is the final result,
I’m currently very satisfied. I've confidently taken off my mask in public,
and although 100% perfection may be difficult, Dr. Kim has been open to hearing about even minor concerns
and has assured me we’ll monitor them together.
That support allows me to trust the healing process.
