It feels like only 2-3 weeks have passed since surgery, even though it’s already been 2 months! After the splint was removed,
time seemed to fly by. Comparing to the 1-month mark,
I don’t really feel much difference in nose height or overall shape.
The swelling on the sides of the nose bridge and between the eyebrows seems to have reduced just a little — maybe the nose looks a bit slimmer?
The redness around the rib cartilage and columella scars has significantly faded after a month.
I also had concurrent nasal septoplasty for rhinitis, and my nasal congestion seems to have improved.
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim mentioned that the 1-3 month period after surgery is when most issues arise—not because of surgical complications,
but due to patients being less careful and sometimes injuring themselves.
Now that I’m getting used to my nose, I understand what he meant. I’ll be more cautious with my nose moving forward!
