More Than Two Weeks After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

It has been a little over two weeks since I underwent revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage with Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
My biggest concern before surgery was that my nose deviated toward the left, which also caused noticeable asymmetry of the nostrils.
This had been one of the most stressful aspects of my nose for me.
I am extremely pleased with how well the asymmetry has been corrected, to the point that it is difficult to even remember how uneven my nostrils looked before surgery.
This was my fourth rhinoplasty, and compared with my previous procedures, this was the first time I experienced such minimal swelling and bruising.
The most uncomfortable part was the first day while the nasal packing was in place, as it made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
After the packing was removed, however, I was able to return to my normal daily activities without much difficulty.
I also experienced relatively little nasal congestion, swelling, or bruising throughout the early recovery period.
Before surgery, I had several concerns, including a short nose, a relatively small nose, and an unfavorable columellar appearance.
I feel that all of these areas have been improved in a way that suits my face very well.
Rather than wanting an overly high or dramatic nose, I was hoping for a refined and timeless shape that would complement my overall appearance.
I particularly preferred the type of elegant, balanced nose often seen in actresses, rather than a result that would feel overly trendy or artificial.
I feel that the surgical result has been tailored very closely to the aesthetic I had in mind.
I have also been very satisfied with the postoperative care.
Dr. Kim personally checked on my recovery, asked whether I had any questions or concerns,
and explained everything in detail. Because of this, I have been able to feel reassured throughout the recovery process
and am now simply looking forward to seeing the remaining swelling gradually subside.
