2 Months Post-Op: Revision Rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty after seeing a friend’s results at RU Plastic Surgery. Her nose had turned out really well,
and that gave me the confidence to go for it myself.
At first, I assumed her procedure wasn’t done with autologous rib cartilage since it was her primary rhinoplasty, but during our conversation,
I learned that even her surgery had used rib cartilage. That’s when I realized RU Plastic Surgery specializes in revision cases using autologous rib cartilage—it felt like fate.
Even at just one week post-op, right after the splint was removed, I was already happy with the result. Now at the two-month mark,
the nose appears more defined and less bulky.
The shape has refined into a more streamlined and structured look.
I had asked for a slightly sloped straight-line profile—technically a “straight with tip rotation” shape—and that’s exactly what I received.
I specifically didn’t want a downward, droopy look (what I jokingly call a “Death Note Ryuk” nose) and leaned more toward a refined,
animated aesthetic, which Dr. Hyun Joo Kim completely understood and designed perfectly.
I had previously experienced inflammation, so I was mentally prepared for a possible compromise in shape or symmetry.
But even two months in, the structure feels solid, and everything seems to be holding up beautifully—better than I’d hoped.
I’ll be sure to post more updates as time goes on. For now, I’m genuinely satisfied with the result and glad I made the decision to go with RU.
