3 Months After My Primary Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage and Silicone at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

It’s now been three months since I had my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
This was my first nose surgery. We used autologous rib cartilage for the tip and a silicone implant for the nasal bridge.
I also underwent correction for a bulbous tip and short nose.
What I hoped to improve was the short, low projection of my nose, and the visible nostrils from the front.
I wanted a nose that didn’t stand out awkwardly from the rest of my features—something that looked naturally refined and well-balanced with my face. Specifically,
I asked for a slightly rounded, soft yet defined nasal tip that harmonized with my facial structure.
Dr. Kim was meticulous during the pre-op design phase and showed me before-and-after photos of patients with similar anatomy,
which made it easy to understand what to expect. Post-surgery, whenever I had questions,
I could easily reach out through the clinic’s message system or the coordinator, and responses were always quick and helpful.
Now at 3 months post-op, the swelling has gone down significantly, and my nose appears smaller and more refined.
I have no issues in daily life, and people around me frequently ask where I had my surgery done because they think it turned out really well.
Interestingly, even my father—who initially thought my nose looked too high—has come around and now says it looks natural and suits me perfectly.
I’m very happy with the outcome and thankful to Dr. Kim and the RU team.
