2 Months After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

About 10 years ago, I underwent my first rhinoplasty using a silicone implant and donated rib cartilage.
However, over time, the nasal tip began to droop significantly, which eventually led me to pursue revision surgery.
I found RU Plastic Surgery through reviews on cosmetic surgery platforms. I was particularly drawn to the natural-looking results I saw in the photos,
so I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim. During the consultation,
Dr. Kim provided detailed explanations and informed me that a board-certified anesthesiologist would be present during surgery, which made me feel more at ease.
Although I hesitated at first due to the cost, the overall safety and outcome of the procedure reassured me, and I’m now very satisfied.
Because this was a revision case, autologous rib cartilage was used. During the first month,
I was worried—the swelling made my nose appear overly long. But now at the 2-month point, most of the swelling has subsided,
and the length looks much more proportionate and natural.
There are times when I wish the tip looked a bit slimmer, but on the other hand, its soft, rounded contour also makes it appear more natural overall.
I’ve been treating my nose with extra care, especially since full healing after revision rhinoplasty is said to take at least six months.
I'm hopeful that this surgery marks the end of my worries about my nose.
