4 Months After Contracted Nose Revision Rhinoplasty
본문

It has now been four months since I had my contracted nose revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
Compared to how things looked at the 2-month mark, the overall shape and nasal line feel much more refined now.
About ten years ago, I had a revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage, but not long after,
my nose began to look crooked again. I went back to the same clinic for a corrective procedure as part of aftercare,
but it still didn’t resolve the issue. Eventually, I underwent another revision at a different clinic.
Whether it was the repeated surgeries or a non-sterile environment, I'm not sure—but from that point on, my nose started to take on an abnormal shape.
For this most recent surgery, diced rib cartilage was wrapped in temporalis fascia and used for the nasal dorsum,
while solid rib cartilage was used to reconstruct the nasal tip and address the contracture.
Due to the number of previous surgeries, there were scar tissues and inflamed areas that needed to be removed carefully.
Dr. Kim explained that postoperative management would be crucial. I took medications like Lysaben diligently during the early phase, and since the 3-month mark,
I’ve continued regular follow-ups to ensure that no further issues have developed.
Having gone through so many revision procedures,
I’m truly grateful to have found RU Plastic Surgery and to have undergone a safe and stable contracture revision with Dr. Kim.
