Just Over One Month After Primary Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

One of the main reasons I chose RU Plastic Surgery was the abundance of both primary and revision rhinoplasty cases,
especially those involving complex revision and contracted nose surgeries.
I felt that if a surgeon is capable of handling such challenging procedures, they would certainly be well-qualified for a primary case like mine.
I was also concerned about potential inflammation caused by silicone implants, but RU Plastic Surgery had many documented cases involving inflammation removal and management.
That gave me peace of mind in case any complications were to arise. I had previously undergone a non-surgical procedure (HIKO),
so I was particularly worried about residual threads in my nasal tip and wanted to find a highly skilled and experienced surgeon.
After consulting with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim, I was reassured by his sense of responsibility toward his patients.
It was clear that he takes long-term outcomes very seriously, which gave me additional confidence. Of course, the ideal scenario is to avoid complications altogether.
Now that I’m one month post-op, the discomfort around the rib cartilage harvesting site has completely subsided.
The columellar incision also appears much finer and lighter than I expected.
I was told it might temporarily become redder after the one-month mark, so I’ve been applying scar ointment diligently.
In terms of aesthetics, the nasal shape has become slimmer and more defined compared to the second week.
I really love the profile—it looks straight from some angles, and slightly curved (a soft straight-slope) from others, which I find very flattering.
Since rib cartilage was used for the tip, I’m confident that tip drooping won’t be a concern. I’ll be back with another update once the front view becomes even more refined!
