1 Month After Primary Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

During my consultation at RU Plastic Surgery,
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim personally examined my condition in detail and thoroughly explained the use of autologous rib cartilage.
This gave me confidence to proceed with my primary rhinoplasty using rib cartilage.
After the surgery, the rib harvest site was actually more uncomfortable than my nose.
The nasal swelling gradually subsided, and now, one month later, the overall shape seems to be stabilizing.
Although there’s still a bit of firmness and stiffness, the discomfort at the rib site has mostly resolved.
There is some visible scarring at the donor site, but no significant pain.
Since it's still only one month post-op, the final result hasn't fully settled,
but my side profile already looks much more balanced and natural.
People around me have commented that my face looks more refined.
I'm looking forward to further improvements as the swelling continues to subside and the nose settles into its final shape.
