One Month After Revision Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage, Silicone Implant, Nasolabial Angle Correction, and Long Nose Correction

I decided to get a revision rhinoplasty due to dissatisfaction with the shape of my previous nose job.
Even though my original nose was already surgically enhanced, it wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for.
I had undergone deviated nose correction before, but my nose still looked crooked, and the dorsal hump seemed to be coming back.
So I started researching again—reading through portal sites, plastic surgery apps, and looking at people with similar concerns to mine.
After doing a lot of research and analyzing different doctors' styles through reviews, I made appointments for in-person consultations.
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery was, as the reviews said, very thorough, unhurried, and attentive during the consultation.
He took photos of my nose and explained what could be improved, what he recommended, and which options were safest.
Ultimately, the plan was based on what I personally wanted, and I was very specific about my goals:
- No overly sharp or pointy tip—wanted something more rounded
- Overall nose should look higher
- Remove the reappearing dorsal hump completely
- Achieve a straight-sloped (semi-straight) nasal line
Since my nasal tip drooped compared to my bridge, the hump stood out more.
So we decided to focus on raising the tip slightly while lowering the bridge just a bit for a more elevated effect.
Because I have thinner skin, that balance was especially important.
The surgical plan included using autologous rib cartilage for the tip, silicone for the bridge, nasolabial angle correction, and long nose correction.
Now, a little over a month post-op, I’m very satisfied. My nose tip feels strong and upright, and I love how it turned out.
