1 Month After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose (Full Autologous Rib Cartilage)
본문

It’s been a month since I had my revision rhinoplasty for contracted nose using autologous costal cartilage.
After consulting with many clinics, I decided on RU Plastic Surgery, and so far, I’m feeling fairly satisfied with the results.
There’s a slight indentation on the upper part of my nasal bridge, but I was told it’s something that can happen during the healing process,
so I’m just keeping an eye on it. It doesn’t really show in photos, thankfully. What I’m most relieved about is that my tip, which used to be severely pulled upward,
has been lowered really nicely. When I see people I haven’t met in a while, they tell me my nose looks great now. That kind of feedback definitely makes me feel better.
I had my one-month follow-up recently and shared both the things I love and the parts I’m still a bit unsure about.
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim was just as thoughtful and patient as before, listening to everything and answering all my questions.
One thing I can say is that RU doesn’t change pre-op vs post-op like some other places. I was told to stay active to help with the swelling,
and I can tell that’s definitely working. Though I still feel a bit of that “bulky” or “stuffy” sensation in my nose,
Dr. Kim reminded me this is totally normal with major surgery and should improve over time.
For now, I’ll just focus on taking good care of it and helping the swelling go down faster.
