Two Months After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose
본문

It's been two months since my revision rhinoplasty for a contracted nose, and I wanted to write down some thoughts and impressions.
After touring many clinics specializing in rib cartilage rhinoplasty, I chose RU Plastic Surgery.
The main reason was Dr. Hyunjoo Kim's sense of responsibility and his versatility in surgical techniques involving autologous rib cartilage for the nasal dorsum.
Since I previously had inflammation in my nose, I absolutely did not want to use any synthetic implants this time.
Though my nose still feels a bit firm, it already looks much more natural compared to the pre-op state.
Looking back at my pre-revision photos is honestly shocking.
At the two-month follow-up, I was told that the scar healing is going well, which made me feel very reassured.
The scar from this surgery looks significantly cleaner than those from previous procedures.
I’ve been extra cautious and am consistently applying Noscarna and Dermatix to help the healing process.
Although the rib cartilage donor site scar was a bit upsetting (since it wasn’t there before),
I’m satisfied overall because the shape of my nose has settled nicely and the revision was clearly successful.
They told me that after about six months, the rib scar would flatten out and fade to a white line, so I'm just waiting patiently.
For anyone who, like me, experienced implant-induced inflammation and contraction,
I highly recommend consulting Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery for revision rhinoplasty.
