2 Months Postoperative Review of Male Rhinoplasty
본문

After my military discharge, I had planned for quite some time to undergo rhinoplasty,
and I used my military savings plan to fund the surgery.
During my leave periods, I researched extensively, visiting multiple clinics and watching many male rhinoplasty vlogs on YouTube.
Ultimately, I chose to have autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery,
recommended by a popular male YouTuber.
Both Dr. Kim and the clinic coordinator were very kind during the consultation.
Unlike other surgeons, Dr. Kim patiently asked if I had any questions and explained the surgical plan clearly,
adjusting his explanations to my level as a non-expert while showing sketches.
The surgical plan included using rib cartilage for the nasal tip, silicone implant for the dorsum,
alar base modification, bulbous nose correction, and osteotomy to narrow the nasal bones,
since I had a wide nasal bone that needed correction for a better frontal appearance.
Due to the complexity and multiple procedures, I was informed that swelling might be more pronounced than average.
Now at 2 months post-op, the shape closely matches what I initially requested,
mainly a straight nasal line, and the outcome aligns well with my expectations.
Many friends who were interested in rhinoplasty even visited the clinic for consultations and some have undergone surgery as well.
