Two Months Postoperative Following Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Costal Cartilage
본문

It has been approximately two months since I underwent revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage.
To reinforce nasal tip projection, autologous rib cartilage was used for the tip, and a silicone implant was placed along the nasal dorsum to augment bridge height.
The result has become much more natural over time, and the overall contour now appears increasingly stable.
Osteotomy was performed concurrently, so major edema persisted until about the one-month mark.
However, by the second month, the swelling had reduced significantly, and the nose appears more defined in photographs and the mirror.
The tip still feels relatively firm, likely due to the rigidity of the rib cartilage graft. I also underwent nasolabial angle correction,
which causes a slight stiffness when smiling, but it's gradually improving.
There is a small scar at the rib harvest site, but the redness is fading, and it is expected to become barely noticeable.
Postoperative pain has been minimal, and while the final result is still settling, I am satisfied with the overall aesthetic balance and angles achieved.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at R.U. Plastic Surgery, and I received a revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage.
