2 Months Post-Op: Autologous Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty + Incisional Ptosis Correction
본문

I had both nose and eye surgery two months ago, and here’s my honest review based on my experience so far.
Why I decided to get surgery:
Aesthetic concerns
I wanted to fix my tired-looking eyes and low nasal bridge.
Functional issues
Over time, I started relying more on my forehead muscles to open my eyes, which caused visible lines and discomfort.
I also had a history of severe rhinitis as a child, and was previously told I had a deviated septum that would eventually need correction. I still had lingering symptoms, so I wanted to address them now.
Professional reason
Since I work in a field where appearance matters, I wanted to look more refreshed and confident.
I first discovered RU Plastic Surgery through a surgery vlog on YouTube. Out of the clinics I consulted with, I chose RU for several reasons:
They specialize in revision rhinoplasty, which gave me confidence that they’d approach my first surgery thoroughly.
Dr. Kim Hyun-joo's focus on safe, balanced results really stood out.
Their lifetime aftercare showed a level of commitment that made me trust them.
Swelling has reduced differently in each area—interestingly, the areas that were most swollen early on have settled down now, but some spots that didn’t swell much at first still seem to be holding on to a bit of puffiness.
As for the results:
The ptosis (drooping eyelids) is clearly improved—I can definitely see a difference.
Functionally, I didn’t have major breathing issues before, so I can't say I feel a dramatic change after the septoplasty, but I had hoped for slightly more improvement.
Cosmetically, I’m very satisfied.
