Fourth Revision Rhinoplasty at the Clinic — Hoping This is the Final One
본문

The reason I needed revision rhinoplasty
was due to a bulbous nasal tip with excessive nostril show,
a shortened nasal length,
and my overall desire to elevate the nose
and create a straighter, more defined dorsal line.
Since this was my fourth rhinoplasty,
I focused specifically on clinics specializing in revision surgery
and surgeons with extensive experience using autologous costal cartilage.
After narrowing my options down to about three clinics
and completing consultations,
I ultimately chose Dr. Hyunjoo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Kim frequently uses autologous costal cartilage
for both the nasal tip and dorsum,
and the reviews showed consistently natural and refined results,
particularly from patients who had undergone the same technique.
The consultation manager, Yerim,
was exceptionally kind and cheerful,
and Dr. Kim’s explanations were meticulous and easy to understand.
He even made sure I had no remaining questions
and continued to provide attentive, hands-on care after surgery,
which left a strong impression on me.
As this is a one-surgeon clinic,
there can occasionally be some waiting time due to a busy schedule,
but this was understandable.
It has now been just over three weeks since surgery,
and the nostril show has been corrected exactly as I had hoped.
There is still noticeable swelling just above the nasal tip,
so I am continuing intermittent taping as instructed.
Because this clinic specializes in autologous costal cartilage surgery,
the explanations regarding rib cartilage harvesting were very systematic and clear.
The pain at the donor site was much less than I expected.
Having experienced rib cartilage harvest pain in the past,
I can confidently say this time felt milder
and far more manageable.
