Three Months Postoperative Following Secondary Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose Using Autologous Costal Cartilage
본문

It has been three months since I underwent secondary rhinoplasty for a contracted nose at R.U. Plastic Surgery with Dr. Hyunjoo Kim.
Both the nasal bridge and tip were reconstructed using autologous costal cartilage.
Compared to the early postoperative period, I’ve started regaining some sensation at the nasal tip,
and the swelling along the dorsum has subsided significantly, making the nose appear more natural.
There is still some internal stiffness and discomfort due to residual scar tissue and swelling,
but I understand this is part of the longer recovery process and requires more time.
The scar at the rib harvest site has started to fade and is not a major concern. Above all,
I feel reassured knowing the surgery was performed thoroughly using the safest possible method.
As a result, I’m much less anxious about potential inflammation or recurrent contracture in the future,
which has made the overall experience very satisfactory.
