One Month Postoperative Following Rhinoplasty with Autologous Costal Cartilage After Orthognathic Surgery
본문

It has been one month since I underwent rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage at R.U. Plastic Surgery, performed by Dr. Hyunjoo Kim.
Prior to the procedure, my nasal tip was low and appeared blunt, and I was already dissatisfied with the shape of my nose.
Following orthognathic surgery, my nose seemed further distorted—slightly deviated
to one side with a noticeably recessed columella—which became a significant source of stress.
Now, one month after surgery, I am satisfied with the results. Even when wearing a hat or applying makeup,
I feel more confident, likely because the refined nasal contour enhances my overall facial appearance.
My nasal tip also reflects light better in selfies, giving it a more defined look.
I underwent the surgery at the same time as a friend, and we still talk about how much we love our noses,
even over video calls. Every time I visit for follow-up or reach out with questions, the clinic is consistently attentive and provides thorough,
helpful responses. From consultation to aftercare, the process has been seamless.
I had many concerns about my nose, but reaching the one-month mark without any complications has been a relief.
I'm now hoping for the residual swelling to subside completely and am considering undergoing blepharoplasty next.
I'm proud of the time and effort I invested into researching clinics and feel confident that I made the right decision with this autologous costal cartilage rhinoplasty.
