1 Month After My Nose Revision Surgery
본문

I had my first rhinoplasty about ten years ago,
and over time, the result looked natural enough that friends were often surprised when I told them I had surgery.
However, I continued to struggle with severe septal deviation,
a short nose profile when viewed from the side,
and wide nostrils, which eventually led me to consider revision rhinoplasty.
After deciding on revision surgery,
I spent about six months consulting with several clinics.
I wanted to avoid busy, factory-style hospitals,
and I also did not want a rigid or impersonal consultation atmosphere.
That was when I discovered RU Plastic Surgery.
After reviewing before-and-after photos and reading patient reviews,
I was drawn to Dr. Kim Hyun-joo’s aesthetic—natural, refined, and not overdone—
so I decided to book a consultation.
On the day of my consultation, I was pleased that there was no waiting time,
and the appointment began promptly.
Every visit afterward was also punctual and conducted in a calm, comfortable environment,
which I truly appreciated.
The staff and consultation manager were always kind and welcoming,
making each visit feel relaxed and reassuring.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim emphasized that correcting my septal deviation
should be the top priority before focusing on aesthetic improvements.
This approach immediately built my trust.
He patiently addressed all of my concerns in detail,
which became a major reason why I chose RU Plastic Surgery.
For the surgery, my nasal tip was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage,
the nasal bridge was augmented with a 3 mm silicone implant,
and nasal tip lowering and nostril reduction were performed as well.
The surgery took place in the afternoon.
Waking up from anesthesia was somewhat difficult,
but Dr. Kim and the consultation manager took great care of me,
for which I am very grateful.
They stayed late to make sure I was stable and comfortable before I left.
Now, one month post-operation, I have almost no bruising.
The first one to two weeks were challenging due to significant swelling,
and I worried that I might be left with a bulbous nose forever.
However, by the four-week mark, most of the swelling had subsided,
and I am starting to genuinely like the shape of my nose.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the consultation process,
the surgery itself, and the postoperative care at RU Plastic Surgery.
Although the final result has not fully settled yet,
I can see steady improvement day by day.
I would confidently recommend this clinic to anyone considering revision rhinoplasty.
