Male Nose Surgery (Columella Lowering & Correction) — 1 Month Update
본문

I had my first rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery a month ago!
My original nose had pretty thick skin, and the biggest thing that bothered me was that
you couldn’t see my columella at all from the front.
I really wanted to bring it down and create a better nasolabial angle.
So I looked up a ton of male rhinoplasty cases like mine —
specifically ones where the columella was hidden like mine.
That’s when I found someone who had the same issue and got it fixed beautifully at RU.
That convinced me to book a consultation!
(Before that, I’d already been to two major clinics.)
When I went in for the consult, I was impressed by everything:
how thorough Dr. Kim Hyunjoo was,
how kind and helpful the staff were, and
the overall vibe of the clinic.
Plus, Dr. Kim’s aesthetic sense for male nose lines really matched what I wanted.
Only downside? It was the most expensive quote I got...
But I really liked that they offer a lifetime guarantee —
and Dr. Kim genuinely seemed committed to long-term results.
So I decided: even if it costs more, let’s do it right the first time.
I booked the surgery, and even before the splint was removed,
as soon as the nasal packing came out —
I saw it. My hidden columella was there, in perfect shape
From that moment, I didn’t even notice the pain from the rib graft.
I was too excited lol.
I rested about 5 more days, then had the splint removed —
Dr. Kim actually does the removal and cleaning himself, which I really liked.
And when I saw my nose… it was exactly the shape and line we discussed in the pre-op design.
Even though I was still swollen, I knew it was right.
At 2–3 weeks, the swelling really started going down,
and the initial “puffy” and “bulky” look improved a lot.
Now that I’m at the 1-month mark,
just like Dr. Kim said — the shape is getting even prettier as time goes on.
I'm honestly super satisfied.
