1-Month Review After Male Incisional Ptosis Correction, Under-Eye Fat Repositioning & Hump Nose Surgery (with Autologous Rib Cartilage) Surgery at RU Plastic Surgery
본문
Hi there!
It has been one month since I underwent both nose and eye surgery,
and I wanted to share my honest thoughts so far.
Before the surgery, I had several concerns.
My nose was large, long, and had a noticeable dorsal hump,
and my eyes technically had double eyelids, but with multiple uneven creases.
I also had prominent under-eye fat, which made me look constantly tired.
To be honest, I used to think,
“Do men really get nose or eye surgery?”
But one day, I noticed that my personal trainer’s nose looked amazing,
so I asked him about it.
He told me he had rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage.
At first, I didn’t even know what that meant,
but when I asked which clinic he went to, he said RU Plastic Surgery.
Since his result looked so good,
I booked a consultation through his recommendation.
When I mentioned that I was concerned about both my nose and eyes,
the consultation manager first gave me a clear overview of the overall process,
and then I met directly with the doctor.
Dr. Hyunjoo Kim carefully explained why my eyes looked tired.
He recommended under-eye fat repositioning to address the puffiness,
and incisional ptosis correction to properly correct the multiple creases
and improve eye opening.
I used to believe that incisional double eyelid surgery
always looked obvious or unnatural—
like the so-called “sausage eyes.”
However, Dr. Kim explained that whether surgery looks natural
does not depend on whether it is incisional or non-incisional.
In fact, performing non-incisional surgery
on eyes that actually require incisional correction
can be what causes an unnatural result.
He explained the surgical plan step by step
and made sure it matched my actual anatomy and expectations.
Regarding my nose, since it was naturally large and long,
Dr. Kim explained that he would maintain a natural balance
while correcting the hump and lifting the nasal tip
using autologous rib cartilage.
My friend’s successful result gave me confidence,
and the warm, reassuring atmosphere from the doctor,
the consultation manager, and the staff made me feel comfortable.
That is why I decided to proceed with the surgery.
Because I underwent three procedures at once—
ptosis correction, under-eye fat repositioning,
and rib cartilage rhinoplasty—
I did experience significant bruising and swelling
during the first one to two weeks,
which honestly made me a bit anxious.
However, whenever I felt worried,
the consultation manager kindly reassured me
and encouraged me to come in for swelling laser treatments.
I ended up visiting the clinic more often than expected
simply because I felt genuinely well cared for.
When it came time for dressing changes and splint removal,
Dr. Kim personally handled everything himself,
which gave me a lot of trust and reassurance.
I was also able to ask him directly about rib cartilage pain
and when I could safely return to the gym.
Now that a full month has passed,
both my eyes and nose are still somewhat swollen,
but even at this stage,
I can clearly see that all of my original concerns
have been significantly improved.
I am truly satisfied with the results so far,
and I am grateful to Dr. Hyunjoo Kim
for his meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
