I got a nose revision and facial contouring revision done together!

A few years ago, I had my first rhinoplasty using ear cartilage.
For a long time, everything seemed fine—
even up until about a year ago, I was fairly satisfied with the result.
Then, unexpectedly, inflammation developed
and led to nasal contracture.
My nose gradually started pulling upward,
and people around me began asking things like,
“Why does your nose look so short now?”
or “Why does it look so lifted?”
Hearing comments like that repeatedly
seriously affected my confidence
and caused a great deal of stress.
I realized I couldn’t leave it as it was.
I began researching clinics that specialize in
contracted nose correction and upturned nasal tips.
During that process, I came across YouTube reviews
showing patients with situations very similar to mine
who had been successfully treated at RU Plastic Surgery.
I booked a consultation immediately.
From the moment I met Dr. Hyun Joo Kim,
he clearly understood my concerns.
He explained in detail how the nasal tip could be lowered,
and I remember thinking,
“Is something like that really possible…?”
I was honestly very nervous,
but after continuing to read reviews
and seeing consistent results,
I felt I could trust him and decided to proceed.
Along with the revision rhinoplasty,
I also had anterior cheek filler,
nasolabial fold augmentation,
and chin advancement performed at the same time.
For my nose, the columella was lowered
using autologous rib cartilage.
On the day of surgery,
I changed into the surgical gown,
listened to the final explanation,
and then went into the operating room.
When I woke up in the recovery room,
I felt extremely cold.
My throat was very dry,
and the rib cartilage donor site was quite painful.
Some people say the rib area isn’t too uncomfortable,
but in my case, the pain lasted for about two weeks.
