At first, I just wanted to get my nostrils reduced, so I looked around for nostril reduction surgeries.
But I realized just reducing the nostrils wouldn’t make much of a difference.
I’d always been worried about my nose bridge and tip, so I started looking into full nose surgery to raise those areas.
Then I remembered a friend who got autologous rib cartilage nose surgery from Dr. Hyunjoo Kim.
I got a recommendation and went for a consultation,
and during the consult, Dr. Kim explained everything in detail and really pinpointed exactly what I was concerned about.
That’s when I thought, “This is the place!”
and immediately booked my surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
After about a month, my nose looks so natural that if it weren’t for the small scar under my nose, no one would even know I had surgery!
But I do bump my nose a lot during daily life—mostly because of my own clumsiness… haha.
Still, since it’s autologous rib cartilage, my nose feels solid and strong, so it’s been fine.
I was worried my nose might bend or warp because of the rib cartilage, but none of that happened!
It looks so natural and pretty that if I don’t tell people, they usually have no idea I had surgery!
That’s the best part!
The side profile has improved a ton, but because I don’t really have much swelling on the front, most people don’t notice much difference from the front.
My eyes look softer too, and with the nose now more centered, my whole face looks more balanced— which I love!
Of course, I’ll be careful with my nose going forward,
but honestly, I think this surgery has way more pros than cons!
