I’ve always believed that the nose is one of the most important features on the face,
so every time I took photos,
my low nose was something I constantly worried about.
The shape of my nasal tip was especially important to me,
and I also wanted to improve my nasolabial angle and columella.
After thinking about it for a long time,
I finally decided to undergo rhinoplasty.
I happened to come across a YouTuber’s surgery review,
and RU Plastic Surgery gave me a very trustworthy impression.
When I visited for consultation,
the counseling manager and staff were all incredibly kind,
and the proposed surgical direction matched the style I wanted very well.
After meeting with Dr. Hyun Joo Kim,
most of my fears about surgery disappeared,
and I felt a strong sense of trust and reassurance,
which ultimately led me to schedule the procedure.
My surgery included
bulbous tip correction,
nasolabial angle correction,
and short nose correction.
The materials used were
silicone for the bridge
and autologous rib cartilage for the tip.
To be honest,
I’m a very cautious person,
so I spent several years thinking about rhinoplasty without actually doing it.
I was especially hesitant about autologous rib cartilage
because I had heard so many stories about pain and recovery.
However, once I actually went through the surgery,
the recovery was much easier than I expected,
and as time passed,
everything continued to settle naturally and comfortably.
Now, looking back,
I’m really glad that I finally decided to do it.
It has been 9 months since surgery,
and honestly, I haven’t noticed a huge difference
between how it looked at 3 months and now.
The nose line turned out very close to what I wanted—
a softly rounded, feminine-looking tip
with a bridge that looks natural
without being overly sharp or dramatic.
Overall, my facial appearance looks softer,
more refined,
and much more dimensional than before.
The improvement in my nasolabial angle
has made both my front and side profile look more elegant,
and every time I take photos,
I’m reminded of how satisfied I am with the result.
As time goes by,
I find myself liking the result even more,
and sometimes I wonder
why I didn’t do it sooner.
