After my first rhinoplasty,
I experienced repeated inflammation and eventually underwent revision surgery
and removal of the bridge implant.
However, the discomfort returned,
and I never felt that the problem had fully resolved,
which led me to decide on another revision procedure.
I first learned about RU Plastic Surgery
through a plastic surgery app.
Although I hesitated because of the cost,
I felt that the nose designs were much more natural
than those from other clinics.
Many clinics only suggested using dermal grafts
or solid rib cartilage for bridge reconstruction,
but Dr. Hyun Joo Kim recommended
a sliced rib cartilage technique,
which seemed like a safer and more reliable option.
That recommendation ultimately helped me make my decision.
During surgery,
the remaining ear cartilage and septal cartilage inside my nose were removed.
The reconstruction included
autologous rib cartilage for both the bridge and tip,
short nose correction,
columella lowering,
and reinforcement with rectus fascia.
It has now been a little over one month since surgery,
and even when running or being active,
I feel absolutely no pain at the rib donor site.
Whenever I return to RU Plastic Surgery for follow-up visits,
I receive very attentive care,
and I feel that this has contributed greatly to my recovery.
Most of the residual swelling seems to have improved already,
even though it has only been a month.
The shape of my nose also fits my facial structure very well.
It is neither overly dramatic nor too subtle,
but instead has a balanced height and shape
that feels just right for my face.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the result.
