Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty with Autologous Rib Cartilage – 2 Months Post-Op
본문

My rhinoplasty turned out very naturally,
so unless I tell people, most don't even realize I've had surgery.
One of the biggest improvements has been my side profile.
The appearance of a protruding mouth has improved,
and my facial definition looks much better overall.
However, the main reason I chose surgery
was to improve my bulbous nose,
so I still find myself worried because my nose still looks somewhat wide.
While I'm very happy with my side profile,
I'm not completely satisfied with the front view yet.
I also hear comments that my nostrils are more visible than before surgery,
which is something I've been paying attention to.
At the moment, I'm only about two months post-op,
and during my 1 month follow-up appointment,
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim explained that my nose felt quite firm
because of swelling.
He told me that as the swelling continues to improve,
my nose should become slimmer as well,
so I'm trying to be patient and give it more time.
During a follow-up visit,
there was also some scar tissue developing inside my right nostril.
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim mentioned that if it is still present at my next appointment,
laser treatment may be considered.
One thing I can say for certain
is that the aftercare at RU Plastic Surgery has been excellent.
For now, I plan to continue monitoring my progress
and see how things change as the remaining swelling resolves.
