Before Surgery

After Surgery

I had been interested in nose surgery for years,
but I really made up my mind after randomly getting hooked on a male YouTuber’s rhinoplasty video.
That was the moment I thought, “Okay, this time I’m really doing it.”
In the end, I went to consultations at eight different clinics.
I originally thought I’d visit one or two places,
pick the one I liked, and book the surgery right away—haha.
But since I’m naturally skeptical, making a decision wasn’t easy at all.
Some clinics felt disappointing once I actually visited them,
others seemed decent enough to consider.
But at one place, I saw a doctor treating the staff poorly,
and that immediately crossed the clinic off my list.
There were also clinics where I felt uncertain about the aftercare system.
The more places I visited, the harder it became to choose—
maybe I was just getting more discerning.
Some clinics were unreasonably expensive,
while others were suspiciously cheap.
At that point, I thought I might never decide,
so I told myself, “Let’s just check one last place.”
That last stop was RU Plastic Surgery.
The consultation with the doctor was long,
but everything was explained in a way that was very easy to understand,
and I was reassured that the post-operative care would be thorough.
What stood out the most was that the doctor personally manages the treatment even after surgery.
From the moment I met the consultation manager,
I was greeted warmly,
and overall, I had a very positive impression of the clinic.
After surgery, I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to breathe at all the next day.
I was so uncomfortable that I kept messaging the consultation manager nonstop, almost panicking.
Surprisingly, the rib cartilage donor site didn’t hurt much,
but my nose itself was extremely uncomfortable.
I even had trouble swallowing water, which was honestly the hardest part for me.
Once the nasal packing was removed,
I started to feel a bit better—though still uncomfortable.
Honestly, I don’t think I could ever go through this process twice.
But after the splint was removed,
people around me kept asking where I got my nose done
and told me it looked great,
which made me feel like the money was well spent—haha.
The aftercare was excellent as well,
so overall, I’m very satisfied.
