Two-Week Review After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

Before / 2w post-op
It had been about one year since my previous rhinoplasty using donor rib cartilage, but over time, I noticed that the nasal tip had become deviated.
I was also dissatisfied with the overall nasal line.
I had originally wanted a profile somewhere between a straight and softly curved line,
but the result had developed into a more pronounced curved shape than I preferred, so I decided to consider revision rhinoplasty.
When I came across the rhinoplasty before-and-after photos from RU Plastic Surgery,
I immediately felt that the results closely matched the aesthetic I had been looking for.
The noses in their cases had the kind of balanced and refined shape I had hoped to achieve,
which gave me confidence that my preferences could be realistically reflected in the surgical plan.
After the consultation, I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty using a customized 3D implant together with autologous rib cartilage.
Even though I am still only two weeks postoperatively and some swelling remains,
I can already see a clear improvement in both the nasal deviation and the overall contour.
There is still a slight bluish discoloration around the nasal tip,
and I was advised to continue monitoring this area over the longer term.
Since the swelling has not fully subsided yet, I understand that the current shape is still evolving.
However, I feel that over the next several weeks, the nose will continue to settle closer to the straight-to-softly-curved profile I originally wanted.
At this early stage of recovery, I am already pleased with the improvement in alignment and overall nasal shape,
and I am looking forward to seeing how the result continues to refine as the swelling decreases.
