39 Days After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose Deformity
본문

This is my update at 39 days post-op. Please refer to my previous review for more background.
A long time ago, I underwent rhinoplasty using an L-shaped silicone implant. Later,
I became uneasy about the use of this type of implant and had it removed in a revision surgery.
Unfortunately, I ended up with a depressed nasal tip.
To correct the indentation, I attempted another revision using ear cartilage, but over time,
my nasal tip started to shorten—likely due to the onset of contraction.
I left it as-is for quite a while, but eventually, even people around me started commenting that my nose looked too short.
I also noticed that my nostrils were overly exposed from the front view.
I began researching contracted nose revision cases, reading both reviews and educational materials from specialized reconstructive rhinoplasty clinics.
That's how I found RU Plastic Surgery.
The biggest reason I chose Dr. Hyunjoo Kim was because of her emphasis on safe surgical approaches.
Although I was initially hesitant about needing multiple stem cell injections before being eligible for surgery,
I was able to proceed after three sessions.
Now, a little over a month after the surgery, the tip of my nose occasionally turns slightly red depending on my condition,
but Dr. Kim already explained that this is normal and temporary during the recovery period—so I'm not too concerned.
