It’s been 2 months since my revision surgery for contracted nose.
This revision was my first in 12 years.
I’m not sure exactly when the contraction started, but slowly my nasal tip began to lift upward. I also noticed it myself.
At first, people around me joked that my nose was getting shorter,
but at some point, I started to wonder if it really was getting shorter… ㅠㅠ
Before this revision, anyone could tell that my nasal tip looked like it hadn’t been operated on—a short, lifted-up nose tip. ㅠ.ㅠ
So for this revision surgery, I wanted my nasal tip to be as naturally lengthened as possible,
and when viewed from the front, the nostrils shouldn’t be too exposed.
Still, human desire is desire. At first, I only hoped the contraction would be somewhat corrected, but as the surgery date approached,
I found myself wanting more aesthetically pleasing results. Since I was going through the surgery anyway,
I thought, why not make it a pretty shape that matches my vibe and image?
Also, after seeing Dr. Kim Hyun-joo’s reviews at RU Plastic Surgery—where even severely contracted,
lifted-up noses were reshaped into refined forms—I thought, maybe I can have those desires too! Haha.
So I clearly conveyed what I wanted and what I absolutely didn’t want!
Now it’s a little over 2 months since the revision surgery, and it seems to have turned out just the way I wanted!
(The desired shape was something like straight or slightly rounded.) Haha.
People around me say my image looks much better than before the revision.
The swelling seems to have significantly gone down by the 2-month mark!
For my revision, the nasal dorsum was reconstructed with autologous rib cartilage and scalp fascia,
and the nasal tip was done with autologous rib cartilage only.
I’m so thankful to the doctor who made it so beautiful!
