Hello! I underwent revision rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery in early July. I learned about RU through my sister,

who is very knowledgeable about plastic surgery and highly recommended this clinic, especially for revision cases.

Dr. Hyun Joo Kim performed my third nasal surgery. Although there were no major complications like contracture or infection,

my nose had significant shape deformities from surgeries done over ten years ago, and I was not satisfied with the aesthetic outcome.

To minimize risks of deformation and absorption,

the procedure combined autologous rib cartilage with silicone covered by Megaderm to reduce translucency and contracture risk.

Along with this, alar base reduction, correction of the nasolabial angle, and correction of pinched nostrils were also performed.

Safety and minimizing side effects were my top priorities given this was my third surgery.

The recovery was much more comfortable than I expected! Except for the first day when nasal packing was in place,

breathing and pain were quite manageable, making me feel that I could do this surgery several times if needed. However,

the autologous rib cartilage harvest was quite painful, and even at three weeks post-op,

I still feel some discomfort and wear an abdominal binder.

I am very satisfied with the significant improvements in my nose.

There was no bruising, so people who don’t know me well don’t even realize I had surgery.
