Reason for Functional Nasal Surgery:
Due to a low nasal bridge and tip, my face appeared lacking in dimension. After careful consideration, I decided to undergo functional nasal surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
Surgical Plan and Materials Used:
The procedure included septal extension and reinforcement using autologous rib cartilage. Silicone implant was used for nasal dorsum augmentation, along with correction of a bulbous tip, adjustment of the columella, and alteration of the nasolabial angle. Additionally, functional nasal surgery was performed simultaneously to address chronic rhinitis, including septal deviation and inferior turbinate hypertrophy.
Postoperative Impressions and Improvements at Two Months:
Now, two months after surgery, my nose feels completely natural, as if it has always been mine, with no discomfort. Although initial swelling was minimal, it has further subsided, enhancing the nasal contours. The refined nasal lines have drawn numerous compliments from those around me, which is very gratifying.
The tissues affected by chronic rhinitis have also healed well, softening previously stiff scar tissue. From both frontal and lateral views, my face has gained noticeable dimension, greatly improving my confidence. The features that once caused me distress have been effectively corrected, allowing me to enjoy these satisfying results.
