1 Week After Male Revision Rhinoplasty
본문

My first rhinoplasty was about 6 to 7 years ago. At the time, I wasn’t very aware of the long-term results, but as the years passed, I noticed the tip of my nose gradually drooping downward. This made my nose appear longer overall, and as the tip descended, the profile began to resemble a dorsal hump.
I felt that a strong, long-lasting revision would require autologous rib cartilage, so I focused my research on clinics specializing in this technique. Among the reviews I came across, the ones for Dr. Hyunjoo Kim stood out—they looked natural, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned well with what I was hoping for. During my consultation, the nose shape Dr. Kim sketched out for me matched exactly what I had envisioned, so I decided to proceed with the surgery.
The staff at RU Plastic Surgery were also warm and professional, and my coordinator, Heesun, was especially kind and helpful. I’m truly grateful for the care I received.
At the one-week mark, the stitches were removed by a nurse, and Dr. Kim personally checked the surgical site, performed disinfection, and removed the splint. I expected significant swelling, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. In fact, my side profile already looks quite good. Dr. Kim explained that the swelling in the front view is still substantial and that this isn’t the final result.
Since I also had alar base reduction, even with the swelling, my nose already feels more refined and slimmer.
