Two-Month Review After Revision Rhinoplasty for Upturned Nose and Nasal Deviation
본문

I decided to undergo revision rhinoplasty seven years after my previous surgery
because my nose appeared upturned at a 45-degree angle, had a slight deviation,
and the nasal tip had dropped due to the absorption of donated rib cartilage.
I discovered Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery after reading reviews on Babitalk,
where the aesthetic results and overall sense of proportion matched my taste.
Although it was my first time hearing about this clinic, both Dr. Kim and the staff were very kind,
and after learning that my case was suitable for another surgery,
I quickly decided to schedule it.
For this operation, we used a combination of autologous rib cartilage,
the existing septal cartilage, and a silicone dorsal implant.
Now, two months after surgery, there’s still some redness and swelling,
but I’m very satisfied—especially since my columella,
which wasn’t very visible before, now shows clearly from the front.
Friends and acquaintances have also mentioned that my side profile looks much more elegant.
I originally thought revision rhinoplasty would only improve the side view,
but lowering the columella reduced the upturned appearance even from the front,
which made a huge difference.
Before the surgery, many people told me not to go through with it again,
but now those same people say they want to have it done too and ask where I did it.
There’s still occasional redness around the nasal tip,
but I was told it will gradually fade with time—so I’m waiting patiently while enjoying the much-improved result.
