Nine Months After Contracture Nose Revision
본문

I am now nine months post–contracture nose revision,
and I wanted to leave a detailed update because I’m finally feeling stable,
comfortable, and very satisfied with the result.
At some point, I began to realize that my nose had become severe enough
to truly require contracture revision.
Because I take a lot of photos, film videos, and my work involves
showing my face on social media, the upward-pulled, distorted shape
became a major source of stress.
Eventually, I decided that contracture revision was unavoidable.
I searched extensively on various apps and social platforms
for hospitals specializing in contracture revision
and learned that using autologous rib cartilage and other autologous tissues
has the lowest risk of recurrent inflammation.
Among countless reviews, the work of Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at RU Plastic Surgery
stood out the most.
At my first consultation, I was shocked by how serious
the internal condition of my nose actually was.
I had been taking it too lightly,
and seeing the CT results was genuinely alarming.
What made me choose RU Plastic Surgery again after several consultations
was how accurately Dr. Kim identified every concern I had,
even before I mentioned all of them.
He explained that, due to the severe inflammation,
a full autologous rib cartilage reconstruction would be the safest choice.
Her clear, confident explanation—and her warm, reassuring manner—
instantly made me trust her.
During the recovery process, the rib cartilage donor site
was very painful for about five days,
but after that it gradually improved.
I normally bruise extremely easily,
and during my first nose surgery years ago
I had bruising from under my eyes down to my jawline.
This time, however, aside from a slight bruise on the nasal dorsum
when the splint was removed,
I didn’t bruise anywhere else—
which was unbelievable to me.
The shape of the nose was also exactly what I hoped for.
Although I developed a bit of scar tissue during healing,
Dr. Kim monitored it closely at every follow-up
and treated it with scar injections and stem cell injections,
so it has improved significantly.
The clinic staff were always friendly
and greeted me warmly at every visit,
which made the experience even better.
I’m very satisfied overall and grateful for my new nose.
If you are considering contracture nose revision,
I would genuinely recommend RU Plastic Surgery.
