I decided to undergo autologous rib rhinoplasty
because I was concerned that my nasal tip appeared low
in comparison to the nasal bridge.
At RU Plastic Surgery,
I had nasal tip surgery performed using autologous rib cartilage
without any implants.
The procedure was done under intravenous sedation
rather than general anesthesia.
I did not originally have rhinitis,
so I was concerned that breathing issues might develop after surgery.
However, looking back now at four months postoperatively,
aside from the immediate postoperative period,
I have not experienced any difficulty with breathing.
As I had hoped,
I now have a naturally elegant nasal line
that flows smoothly down from the bridge.
As the nasal tip was elevated,
my eye area and overall facial impression
have gradually become sharper and more refined.
Due to time constraints,
I was not able to attend my three-month follow-up visit.
However, at my one-month appointment,
I received an in-person evaluation from Dr. Kim Hyun Joo
along with scar laser treatment.
Although personal circumstances have made clinic visits difficult,
the postoperative care has been handled responsibly and consistently,
which I truly appreciate.
