One-Month Postoperative Review After Autologous Rib Revision Rhinoplasty at RU Plastic Surgery
본문

Now that one month has passed since my revision rhinoplasty
using autologous rib cartilage,
my overall recovery has been progressing very smoothly.
What I am most satisfied with
is that the bruising and swelling were significantly less
than during my first rhinoplasty.
Even immediately after revision surgery,
the swelling was not severe,
and as one month has passed,
I can clearly feel my facial contour
and the lateral nasal line becoming more defined.
Because nasolabial angle correction was performed at the same time,
there was some discomfort with mouth movement in the early stage.
However, by around the third week,
smiling and eating became completely comfortable,
and I am now essentially back to normal daily life.
In the early postoperative period,
the nasal tip appeared somewhat elevated.
As Dr. Kim Hyun Joo explained,
by the one-month mark it has naturally descended
and is settling exactly into the expected contour,
which has greatly increased my satisfaction.
Since this was a revision surgery,
there is some internal scar tissue,
which is a bit unfortunate.
However, Dr. Kim explained that scar management treatment
will be provided at the three-month follow-up,
so I am not overly concerned at this point.
The postoperative care and follow-up at RU Plastic Surgery
have been very thorough,
and once again, I feel that I made the right decision.
People around me have clearly noticed the change
and often ask for the clinic’s information.
In fact, my friend and my cousin
have already visited RU Plastic Surgery for consultations.
Overall, I am very satisfied
with how my nose is settling into a natural and refined line,
and I am genuinely looking forward
to the remainder of the recovery process.
