Before undergoing revision rhinoplasty,
my nasal tip had descended and my nose appeared shortened,
which made my side profile particularly unsatisfactory.
Because of this, I decided to proceed with revision surgery.
I searched for information on various plastic surgery clinics
through Naver community forums
and narrowed down hospitals that showed results
matching the design I personally preferred in before-and-after photos.
Among them, RU Plastic Surgery stood out.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim Hyun Joo demonstrated
a precise understanding of my existing nasal structure,
and the clinic coordinator provided extremely detailed explanations,
which gave me a strong sense of trust.
Both were kind and warm in their approach,
and I naturally felt comfortable deciding to proceed with revision surgery.
For this operation,
I underwent nasolabial angle correction
and short nose correction.
The materials used were a silicone implant for the nasal bridge
and autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip.
For about three days after surgery,
I experienced significant throat discomfort
and pain at the rib cartilage donor site.
However, now at two weeks postoperatively,
I am able to carry out daily activities comfortably without pain.
Each time sutures were removed,
Dr. Kim Hyun Joo personally examined my condition in detail,
which was very reassuring throughout the recovery process.
The nasal height turned out exactly as I had hoped.
Although there is still some swelling
that makes the nose appear slightly upturned from the front,
I trust Dr. Kim’s explanation
that it will settle naturally within two to three months.
Overall, I am very satisfied
with the entire process from surgery to recovery,
and I am looking forward to how the results continue to improve over time.
