Postoperative Review After Primary Rhinoplasty Focused on Facial Balance
본문

I felt that my nose appeared disproportionately small relative to my face,
and I wanted a result that would enhance the overall facial center
while maintaining a natural yet noticeable presence.
With a strong desire to achieve lasting results in a single procedure,
I began searching for a clinic with a low likelihood of revision surgery.
After watching Dr. Kim Hyun Joo’s video emphasizing
“finishing with the first surgery,”
I felt that his surgical philosophy aligned well with my goals
and decided to proceed with a consultation at RU Plastic Surgery.
During the consultation, Dr. Kim immediately understood
the straight-to-slightly-structured nasal line I was aiming for
and clearly stated that this approach was appropriate for my facial proportions,
which gave me a strong sense of trust.
The surgical plan involved autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip,
with the nasal bridge augmented only minimally,
approximately 3 mm, to maintain a natural appearance.
The recovery process was much smoother than expected,
with minimal swelling, and any noticeable swelling had largely subsided
within three days after surgery.
Postoperative care, including swelling-reduction injections
and follow-up management, was provided meticulously,
which seemed to contribute to faster stabilization.
After splint removal, pooled blood inside the nose was identified promptly
and addressed immediately.
Suture removal was performed smoothly without discomfort.
I also appreciated that at the end of each visit,
the medical staff proactively asked if I had any additional questions,
which further reinforced my confidence in the care provided.
At present, my facial center appears significantly more defined,
and I frequently hear from others that my nose looks very well balanced.
I am personally highly satisfied with the outcome
and feel that the results align precisely with my original goals.
